Dough, Cheese, Fixin's, & Fun

Pizza was on the horizon as the four of us, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and Michigan, perused the woods with Frisbees in hand. We walk, talk, throw Frisbees, hit trees and pretty much just enjoy the splendor of the Hudson Valley. Moving forward to the title of the post, we decided to make some pizzas. Adam's grocery store in Poughkeepsie is amazing. The selection and quality was extremely nice with a well laid out floor plan. So we got some ingredients, progressed toward the idea of a pizza party, it's on.

Pennsylvania
onion, mushroom, pepper, roni, sauce, cheese, basil

Louisiana
fennel, mushroom, basil, cheese, sauce, love

Michigan
roni oil, roni, cheese, mushroom

Arkansas
peppered onion, cheese, coddled egg, basil

Ensalada
mesculun, fennel, red pepper, champagne vin

The pizza adventure totaled around twenty three dollars with salad. It was a good experience for cooking school, as you can see the personalities of the individual cook in each pizza. It goes to say that each plate of food you cook is an example of who you are. I am a decent pizza.
Cheers

How do you say "Moo" in Japan?

I don't know either, but made some darn good beef with rice noodles last night. The states of representation at this meal were Louisiana, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania. The total for the meal this evening came in at just shy of eight dollars. For that eight dollars, three people were fed with many leftovers.

Cucumber Beef
spicy broiled beef, cucumber

Boeuf Stir Fry
vegetables, beef, rice noodle, sauce

Moving this culinary adventure further, desserts are the new frontier. We are going to start to accomodate the sweet tooth, which seems to attack thirty minutes after finishing the meal.

An Otter versus The Wine God

It was a dreary Sunday yesterday, clouds, to snow, to ice, just not a sunny day. There were three of us on this adventure, including Louisiana, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania. We set out when there was not a flake in the air, headed toward the Otter. It's a place that brews its own beer on the other side of the river. Nice place, football on the tube, beer in the big shiny tanks, lots of space and lots of light. The food was a decent value, with huge portions coming in at around ten bucks. The food is meant to be shared and probably consumed after a few beers. Service was a little goofy, with our barkeep comparing the beers to budweiser and bud light. Moving on, we ended up at the Wine God bar, just up the hill. Walking in to this place was comfortable, relaxing and phunky. Wood and exposed brick dominated the area, with a wide selection of beers, eight pool tables and some nice rum offerings the Wine God elivated our Sunday to a new level. It was a sweet find over in New Paltz. Moving forward in the adventure, flakes had begun to fall from the sky and we continued cautiously back across the river. One draft beer at a predominately Jets bar near campus, yielded nothing really to write about other than the Jets won. Traversing back towards campus, a Mexican restaurant beckoned a stop and the day was brought to a close with delicious beef tongue tacos and me trying to have a conversation in Spanish, no bueno.
Cheers
